As deputy editor of IAM, for more than two years I have managed our bimonthly “Long Read” article series. I track the publication schedule and ensure that we have a 2,000 to 3,000 word feature article ready to publish on deadline. The work entails writing, editing, and management of staff reporters and outside contributing writers. I personally write some of the feature stories and assign others to guest authors who can offer expert guidance on complicated topics. I supervised four Long Read assignments in 2025 by the staff reporter who I manage, while other IAM staff reporters and editors also contributed articles to the pipeline.
